The Participation in Research Program (PRP), as an important measure to cultivate undergraduates’ innovative ability, has been implemented in Shanghai Jiao Tong University for more than ten years. It provides undergraduates with the opportunity to enter the research study stage as early as possible, laying a foundation for their further studies. By participating in the PRP project, students can learn the methods and ideas of scientific research, cultivate the scientific spirit and improve the ability of analyzing and solving problems.
